Using promo codes

Promo codes apply at checkout, on the cart page right before payment.

Applying a code

1. Add stuff to your cart.
2. Open the cart at /cart.
3. Type the code into Promo code and hit Apply.
4. The discount shows up as a line item before tax. Total updates.

What codes apply to

Depends on the code. Some are global (any service), some are product-specific (e.g. game servers only), some are first-month-only, some are recurring. The applied-discount line tells you which.

Stacking

We don't stack codes. One per order. If you have two and they're both valid, use the better one — the cart picks the larger discount when you try to apply a second.

Codes and renewals

By default a promo code applies to the initial purchase only. Some codes are explicitly marked recurring, in which case the discount applies on every renewal for the cycle length specified. The cart shows this clearly when you apply.

Affiliate vs promo

Affiliate links credit a referrer; they don't discount your order. You can use a promo code and an affiliate link on the same order — both apply.

Where to find codes

We post them on our newsletter, Discord, and occasionally on the homepage during sales. We don't run secret broker codes — if you see one elsewhere, double-check it's legit before pasting.
